Sachin’s practice centres on civil fraud, commercial litigation and arbitration, competition law, and regulatory enforcement.
Prior to establishing his own practice, Sachin was an associate at a leading commercial litigation and arbitration firm in Malaysia. He acted for foreign and domestic companies and regulators across a range of complex, high-value matters, most notably for a Malaysian sovereign wealth fund and its related entities in ongoing civil proceedings arising from one of the largest global financial scandals.
His fraud practice spans domestic and cross-border cases, including applications for freezing and proprietary injunctions, and matters raising novel questions of private international law in Malaysia. He has also acted for regulators, including the MyCC and the Securities Commission, in proceedings before the Competition Appeal Tribunal, the High Court, and appellate courts, including in several landmark competition cases.
Sachin is on the panel of solicitors for the Bar Council and accepts instructions as sole counsel in appeals and applications under the Legal Profession Act 1976. He has worked with solicitors and counsel from Singapore, Hong Kong, the BVI, the United States, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, and with a broad range of professionals including liquidators, forensic accountants, financial crime investigators, auditors, and foreign and domestic law enforcement and government authorities.
