EAP’s Story
The Concept
Disputes practitioners who are just starting up their practice often find themselves facing two challenges – not knowing how to improve their advocacy skills and not knowing how to sustainably grow into a counsel practice.
Imagine a scenario where every fledgling advocate sets sail in their own ship, navigating with the guidance of seasoned captains. The project intends to introduce the barristers’ chambers style of practice to Malaysia, equipping the members to thrive in their roles and eventually venture into the open seas with resilience and expertise. This is the essence of the Endeavour Advocacy Project – it provides emerging advocates with the tools, resources, and expert advice needed to confidently navigate the complexities of establishing their independent practices.
Inspired by legal incubators in other countries, the Endeavour Advocacy Project provides support and resources to lawyers who have been practising for several years, and are now seeking to build their own sustainable and successful independent practice.
Beyond just advocacy work, members also engage in drafting various legal documents such as research memos, pleadings, affidavits, submissions on a project basis, to name a few. This approach enables young advocates to gain practical experience and broaden their skills in different aspects of legal practice.
The project provides a safe space for innovation, experimentation, and implementation of ideas with reduced risk. It offers practical experience and opportunities to explore various legal strategies, attract clients, and refine their craft under the guidance of experienced advocates. While maintaining their responsibilities in managing their own firms, EAP members will develop the independence and resilience necessary for long-term success.
Structure
The Endeavour Advocacy Project is designed as a unique platform within the legal community, unlike anything offered in Malaysia so far.
It offers a structured yet supportive environment for independent practitioners to develop their skills and transition into full-fledged advocacy. It is a safe ground to cultivate interests with real-life approaches and opportunities to learn from seasoned advocates.
It is important to note that the Endeavour Advocacy Project operates independently from Endeavour Group Law Practice. It is a distinct initiative aimed at empowering and nurturing up-and-coming legal talents.
Key Pillars
The Endeavour Advocacy Project operates as a comprehensive support system for up-and-coming advocates.
At its core, the project focuses on three key pillars: Experience, Advocacy, and Pioneering.

Experience
Through hands-on learning opportunities, members of the project can gain exposure to real-world legal scenarios, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations.

Advocacy
From mastering the art of presenting compelling arguments in court to developing strategies for effective client representation, the project equips advocates with the tools and techniques needed to excel.

Pioneering
Our members are encouraged to explore diverse practice areas while working alongside the seasoned advocates within the chambers. This provides them with the prerogative to shape their own legal careers according to their unique interests, strengths, and aspirations.
